The 18th Annual Classic Car Rally 2017
1st October 2017
Once again our annual Classic Car Rally was a great success with over 50 cars taking part in the run.

Barry Horncastle
It was with great sadness that we learnt of Barry's death earlier this year. Barry was one of the founders of the Rotary Rally and was a passionate organiser, helping with every aspect of it. He will be sadly missed.

To Eden Camp
The Star Inn at Roberttown, Liversedge was the starting point of the rally once again. The cars started gathering from 9 a.m. and arranged for a display in the car park with some spilling out onto the road! The drivers and their navigators were treated to a superb Full English Breakfast in the pub before setting off on a run through the Howardian Hills to Eden Camp just outside Malton. Here there was a car park just for the rally and the cars were a wonderful sight arranged in front of the wartime huts.
One of these huts was set aside for the prize giving with trophies being awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for the best prepared vehicles, and an additional trophy - The Syd Colman Trophy - awarded to the vehicle that catches the judge's eye, maybe for being a bit unusual or outstanding in some other way.
Many thanks to all who took part for making it a such a success once again.
