The 19th Annual Classic Car Rally 2019
22nd September 2019
Once again our annual Classic Car Rally was a great success with over 40 cars taking part.
The Star Inn at Roberttown, Liversedge was the starting point of the rally once again. The cars started gathering from 9 a.m. and arranged for a display in the car park with some spilling out onto the road! The drivers and their navigators were treated to a superb Full English Breakfast in the pub before setting off on a 65 mile run through Haworth, Sutton-in-Craven, Draughton, Barden Bridge and Pateley Bridge before continuing on to Masham.
Arrangements had been made with Theakeston's Brewery to park the cars in the brewery yard and we had the use of the upstairs area for the prize giving with trophies being awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for the best prepared vehicles, and an additional trophy - The Syd Colman Trophy - awarded to the vehicle that caught the judge's eye, maybe for being a bit unusual or outstanding in some other way.
Many thanks to all who took part for making it a such a success once again.
This lovely 1968 MG C was awarded the 1st prize
And this Triumph Stag was 2nd
The winning raffle ticket numbers that were drawn on the day are:
364, 491, 331, 147, 461, 252, 500, 205, 441, 454, 270, 370, 82, 450, 360, 292
